Construction will take place
In the event of inclement weather, Eversource will reschedule each session on the following day until construction is complete.
Crews will be activating a section of the natural gas pipeline and placing it into service by way of a carefully controlled and supervised small release of natural gas, the release said.
On the day of the procedure, there will be a controlled release accompanied by a loud whooshing sound. Those in the vicinity of work may also smell the odorant added to natural gas for safety, which has the aroma of rotten eggs. This is a normal part of the procedure, Eversource said.
