Nov. 26–A London man faces jail time after he was caught on surveillance footage stealing over $10,000 worth of truck parts.
Ernie Lee Anderson Jr., 44, was arrested Wednesday morning off East Campground Road by Detectives Gary Mehler and Bryon Lawson. Anderson was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest charging theft by unlawful taking of $10,000 or more, but less than $1 million. In February of this year, Anderson was allegedly seen on camera taking approximately $12,000 worth of truck parts.
Anderson was also charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence,) and failure to appear in court for arrangement on a charge of theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more but under $1 million.
Anderson was lodged in the Laurel County detention center. His court date is scheduled for 11 a.m. today, and he has two pending bonds set at $25,000 each. For his assault charge, Anderson must either pay a fine of $184 or stay four days in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.
