Aug. 23–Houston energy company Enterprise Products Partners LP is offering to sell up to 25 percent of a Mississippi natural gas processing plant to another Houston pipeline and storage company.
Enterprise Products is giving the option of 25 percent of the Pascagoula natural gas processing plant on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi to American Midstream Partners LP. The plant can process 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day.
Financial details of the deal were not released.
The deal is subject to certain conditions including the completion of modifications to parts of American Midstream’sHigh Point pipeline system.
The High Point pipeline system delivers natural gas to Enterprise Products’ offshore Toca Gas Plant in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. That facility, in which Enterprise Products owns a majority stake, is being shut down in favor of increasing the use of the Pascagoula facility.
